إذا كُنْتَ تَعْتَقِدُ أَنَّ مَنْزِلَ صَديقِكَ الَّذي یَقَعُ في الْجانِبِ الْآخَرِ مِنْ مَدينَتِكَ بَعيدٌ جِدًّا، فَأَنْتَ غالِبًا لَمْ تَقْرَأْ هذا الْكِتابَ. تَسَلَّقْ سُلَّمَ الْحِسابِ السِّحْرِيَّ الَّذي سَیُوَصِّلُكَ مِنْ مَکانِكَ إلی قِمَّةِ جَبَلِ إیفرست أَوْ إلی الصّینِ أَوْ رُبَّما إلی الْقَمَرِ أَوِ الشَّمْسِ أَوْ حَتّی إلی حافَّةِ الْکَوْنِ. في الْواقِعِ، هذا مَکانٌ بَعیدٌ جِدًّا جِدًّا جِدًّا أَکْثَرَ مِمّا تَتَخَیَّلونَ.اسْتَعِدّوا… انْطَلِقوا.
