Amani Al Baba Books

Amani Al Baba Palestinian–Jordanian Visual Artist Amani Al Baba blends childlike sensitivity, spontaneity, and human depth in her artistic journey. Her works explore themes of place, exile, nostalgia, refuge, and childhood — weaving together imagination and reality, simplicity and symbolism. Her artistic practice is rooted in research, experimentation, and material diversity. She moves fluidly between expressionism and symbolic realism, working with oil, acrylic, watercolor, ink, and digital art. Human figures and nature often appear as central elements in her compositions, reflecting a poetic vision filled with dreams, memory, and belonging. > “Art is not merely a profession; it is a life we live in all its details — through which we express our emotions and inner feelings to reach both minds and hearts.” Amani holds a Bachelor’s degree in French Literature from Sanaa University and has been active in the fields of design and children’s book illustration for over twenty years. She is a member of several Arab art associations and collectives, and her work has appeared in renowned publications such as Al Arabi Al Saghir (Kuwait), Qatar Al Nada (Egypt), Waz (Morocco), Mourshid (Oman), and Wisam (Jordanian Ministry of Culture). She has illustrated more than one hundred children’s books and digital storytelling applications, and created the visuals for the short film “No Body, No One” by director Muslim Hdeib, screened at the Amman Film Festival 2025. Amani has participated in numerous local and international exhibitions, with solo and group shows reflecting the emotional depth and artistic diversity of her creative world.
